Just rediscovered this beautiful Grade 2 listed library on our books. This 17th century library located in Manchester is a 1420's grade 1 listed building. Beautiful but ominous; dark panels and chandeliers. This location is reminiscent of a library in Gormenghast or any gothic fantasy riddled with corruption and greed. Imagine young scholars soaking up knowledge while priests linger nearby attempting to sanctify this gloomy temple of words.
